Pass the Pears Please

So I am excited to say that I am the happy "grower" of many pears. I actually did not do anything to this tree except prune it back last January. The year before I did not prune this tree and had only a few pears. Reminds me of one of my favorite verses John 15:1-2 "I am the true vine and my Father is the gardener. He cuts off every branch in me that bears no fruit, while every branch that does bear fruit he trims clean to be even more fruitful." When you think about it pruning is painful, but ultimately it is for the better, to produce more fruit, fruit that will last. I do believe God is reminding me to be more fruitful.

So of course I had to take a photo of my pears. I set up a little scene in my kitchen, where I have a really beautiful light coming in. This is one of my favorite spots in my house to do portraits as well, however sometimes I find it neccesary to do a still life.
